Bradley M. Rose BRADLEY M. ROSE
Title and Office
Managing Partner, Los Angeles Office. Handles and supervises cases throughout California.
Experience: Admitted to California Bar, 1987 and Oklahoma Bar, 1985. Began his legal career with the former Attorney General of the State of Oklahoma, specializing in administrative law, insurance defense and coordinating statewide lobbying efforts. He served on the campaign staffs of two state Governors and also spent four years as a legislative assistant to former U.S. Representative Dave McCurdy. Mr. Rose began practicing law in California after joining Lillick, McHose & Charles in 1987, which later merged with Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, where he specialized in defending civil litigation matters, including representation of automotive manufacturers, in addition to a wide array of maritime clients.
Specialization: Substantial trial and general litigation experience in representing leading international shipping companies and major automobile manufacturers in a wide array of civil litigation in federal and state trial and appellate courts. Since the enactment of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, Mr. Rose has represented several shipping companies involved in oil spills in California, has supervised and audited cleanup operations, negotiated criminal and civil penalties, and investigated high-exposure environmental casualties. He also routinely defends against Jones Act, passenger and LHWCA claims, in addition to cargo and FD&D matters. His practice also includes representation of film producers and financing companies, as well as actors in the film industry. He has lectured at maritime and legal seminars concerning the defense of Jones Act and ADA claims, and in 1996, organized an oil spill seminar on behalf of the firm for vessel operators.
