Anita M. Eilert
Ms. Eilert is a partner in our San Diego office. She routinely works in the firm’s Los Angeles office and handles matters throughout California and Mexico.
Ms. Eilert was admitted to the California Bar in 1988. She began practicing law at Lillick, Mchose & Charles which later merged with Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro. She has been with Kaye, Rose & Partners LLP since its inception. Prior to completing her legal studies, she worked as a marine and aviation claims adjustor and investigator.
Ms. Eilert has extensive general civil litigation, maritime, insurance defense and product liability experience. She has developed expertise in the commercial fishing industry, having litigated hundreds of Jones Act suits. Ms. Eilert has represented countless vessel owners and operators on every conceivable type of watercraft, and typically handles high-exposure personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, ADA and sexual assault claims in both state and federal courts. Ms. Eilert has handled hundreds of arbitrations and mediations, jury trials, and is also experienced in the investigation of catastrophic incidents and in handling complex litigation, including class actions, third party tort litigation and against automobile and aviation manufacturers, as well as major pharmaceutical companies and their distributors. She is fluent in Spanish and regularly handles matters arising in Mexico and Central America.
