Maritime and Transportation
Kaye, Rose & Partners was founded as a full-service maritime trade firm representing vessel interests, protection and indemnity clubs, terminals, inland transportation companies, and domestic and international marine and inland marine underwriters protecting those interests.
Each of the founding partners has been practicing maritime and transportation law for the past three decades. The firm’s attorneys have successfully handled virtually every type of legal issue and dispute confronting the maritime and transportation industry. Our experience includes documenting shipping transactions, drafting passage ticket contracts, charter parties, and negotiating entertainment contracts for film, television, and music productions on ships. Much of the firm’s practice is devoted to the defense of litigation matters brought against myriad shipping interests represented by the firm. Those matters often include passenger and crew claims, cargo claims, terminal and longshore claims, air and water pollution violations, writs of attachment, vessel arrests, charter party disputes, insurance coverage, and trucker and motor carrier liabilities. We have also handled all types of major casualties, including fires, strandings, sinkings, pollution and limitation of liability matters.
